Where Will Your Child Get Injured?

Where will your child get injured?  Are you prepared?

It is 5:00 am on a Saturday.  No one should be up at this hour.  The only problem is that Jackson does not know the difference between a weekday and a weekend.  Jackson is 3 years old.  Like so many toddlers, he is super active.  Once awake, he is nonstop, going room to room.  That is, unless, he is in front of the TV watching his favorite show.

It took a lot of time to make sure he could not get his hands on things in the house that would be dangerous. We “baby-proofed” the house years ago and we have not looked at potential dangers for quite some time.

I needed some more sleep and set Jackson up in front of the TV with a Netflix cartoon playing. Then BANG-CRASH!!

I was startled and my heart was racing as I awoke and realized that something terrible may have just happened.  I ran into the TV room so fast my head was spinning.  I do not even know if my feet hit the floor.  Thankfully, the worst case scenario had not happened.  Jackson was not critically injured.  However, I needed to get him to the ER.  This was a serious accident that needed immediate medical attention.

Could this story have happened in your home?  Could this accident have happened in the home of your child’s grandparents or caretakers?

And that’s just Television tip overs! Think of the myriad of ways that toddlers, active kids or even your young adult driver or athlete could get hurt. Unfortunately, the possibilities are many, as are the occurances. The need for Accident Protection is huge.
