Matthew Paolantonio

MBC Sales Agent
Matthew Paolantonio

Matthew joined FSP in February 2024 and brings more than seven years of insurance industry experience to the members he serves. Licensed in Life and Health insurance, he specializes in both areas, with Life insurance being particularly meaningful to him. His experience has reinforced the importance of putting members first and helping them find protection that makes sense for their needs, priorities, and financial circumstances.

Protecting Families with Care and Compassion

Matthew began his insurance career in 2018 after looking for an opportunity that offered greater professional and financial stability. He started in a commission-based role with Aflac, where he gained valuable experience in insurance sales and discovered an industry where he could build a career around helping people protect themselves and their families. As his own family grew, Matthew continued building on that experience and eventually found his way to FSP.

A Personal Connection

Originally from Durham, North Carolina, Matthew now lives in Apex, North Carolina, with his wife and their two young boys. Becoming a husband and father has given him an even greater appreciation for the importance of protecting the people who depend on you and preparing for the unexpected.

Outside of work and family life, Matthew is a passionate Carolina Hurricanes fan and enjoys following hockey whenever he gets the chance. In fact, one of his favorite fun facts about himself is also a fair warning: if you get him started on hockey, he’ll happily talk about it for as long as you’re willing to listen.

Whether he’s discussing insurance or his favorite team, Matthew enjoys connecting with people and building relationships through genuine conversation. That approachable personality carries into the way he works with members, helping make conversations about financial protection feel more comfortable and straightforward.

Why Work with Matthew?

Matthew is a strong believer in putting the needs of the member first. His philosophy is simple: take care of people, and everything else follows. Rather than approaching a conversation with a predetermined solution, he takes the time to learn about each member’s financial situation and understand what they can comfortably afford.

From there, Matthew works to identify coverage that provides meaningful protection while remaining within the member’s budget. His goal is to help people make informed decisions without losing sight of their everyday financial responsibilities. By balancing protection with affordability, he strives to find solutions that members can feel confident maintaining for the future.

For Matthew, the most rewarding part of his career comes when he hears stories about policies providing support during some of the most difficult moments in a person’s life. Seeing coverage deliver the financial protection it was designed to provide reinforces why the conversations he has with members today can be so important later.

Those moments continue to motivate Matthew to put each member’s needs first. Whether he is helping someone explore Life insurance or another form of protection, his goal is to make sure they understand their options and have an opportunity to prepare themselves and the people they care about for whatever life may bring.

We measure the critical metrics of our engagement program - loan conversions, cross-sell results, retention rates - and use that data to make real decisions.
Can you show the results of your engagement program right now in a report, not an estimate? A program without data is a program running on belief.
