Amila Osmic

Benefit Specialist
Amila Osmic

Amila was inspired to pursue a career in insurance because of her desire to help people feel secure and prepared before life’s unexpected moments occur. She believes insurance is more than a policy—it’s peace of mind. Knowing that she can help individuals and families protect what matters most is what makes her work truly meaningful. She also values the trust and relationships built through guiding clients toward coverage that helps them feel confident about their future.

Since joining FSP in 2022, Amila has brought six years of industry experience to her role, specializing in life insurance and living benefits. She holds her 215 license in Life, Health, and Annuities, giving her the knowledge and expertise to help clients navigate important financial protection decisions. Her approach centers on education, understanding, and making sure every client feels informed and supported throughout the process.

A Personal Connection
Originally from Oregon and now living in Florida, Amila enjoys balancing her professional life with quality time spent with family, staying active through exercise, and enjoying beach days. Her warm and approachable personality naturally carries over into her work, helping clients feel comfortable and understood from the very first conversation.

Amila’s passion for helping others stems from her belief that preparation today can create peace of mind for tomorrow. She values building meaningful connections with the people she serves and takes pride in being someone her clients can trust during important financial decisions.

Why Work with Amila?
What sets Amila apart is her commitment to truly understanding her clients’ needs. She takes the time to listen first, ensuring that every recommendation is tailored to fit a client’s lifestyle, goals, and budget. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all solution, she focuses on making sure clients feel comfortable, informed, and confident in the choices they make.

For Amila, the most rewarding part of her job is knowing she has helped members feel protected and prepared for the future. One experience that especially stayed with her involved a client who initially declined critical illness coverage. After having a more in-depth conversation about the value of securing protection while healthy and at a younger age, the member decided to add the coverage. Just months later, the client was diagnosed with a serious illness. Because of that decision, the policy payout helped cover treatment costs and everyday living expenses, allowing the family to focus on recovery instead of financial stress.

Moments like these reinforce why Amila is passionate about what she does. She believes the right coverage can make all the difference when life takes an unexpected turn, and she is dedicated to helping families gain the protection and peace of mind they deserve.

We proactively reach out to our membership through outbound calling, email campaigns, and community outreach rather than waiting for members to come to us.
Industry data shows only 30% of loan origination comes from proactive channels. Where does your credit union stand? Insurance is 95% proactive: how proactive are you?

We have a systematic outbound engagement program that builds trust before the call, uses member data to personalize each conversation, and produces measurable results.
Is it truly systematic, or occasional and one-off? Do you warm up the call with personalized emails first? A program that runs occasionally produces occasional results.

We measure the critical metrics of our engagement program - loan conversions, cross-sell results, retention rates - and use that data to make real decisions.
Can you show the results of your engagement program right now in a report, not an estimate? A program without data is a program running on belief.
