Elon Burley

Benefit Specialist
Elon Burley

Elon has spent nearly two decades helping families protect what matters most through life and health insurance. Inspired by her natural ability to connect with and support others, she found a career in insurance that perfectly aligned with her passion for teamwork and service. For Elon, the insurance industry is not just about policies—it’s about being there for people, providing guidance, and helping create financial security for families and communities.

With 19 years of experience at FSP, Elon has dedicated her entire insurance career to serving members with compassion, professionalism, and care. Licensed in both Life and Health insurance, she specializes in helping clients find affordable and meaningful protection tailored to their individual needs. She believes strongly in the mission of helping as many families as possible gain the coverage and peace of mind they deserve.

A Personal Connection
Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Elon continues to call Baltimore City home. Outside of work, she enjoys serving at her local church as a greeter, where she welcomes others with the same warmth and kindness she brings to her clients every day.

Elon is also passionate about supporting meaningful causes and organizations, including World Vision in Africa, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, and Bright 95.1 FM. Her caring nature and commitment to helping others extend far beyond her professional life.

One of Elon’s most unique talents is her creativity through origami. Over the years, she has crafted everything from T-shirts and money bouquets to dresses, rings, wallets, and stars—all through the art of folding paper. Her creativity and attention to detail reflect the thoughtful and personal approach she takes in both her hobbies and her work.

Why Work with Elon?
What sets Elon apart is her genuine passion for helping people and her dedication to ensuring families are properly protected. She believes the best insurance agents are those who truly care about the people they serve, and her mission has always been to help as many families as possible prepare for the future.

Her approach is practical, caring, and personalized. Elon begins by understanding a client’s budget and reviewing the protection they already have in place. From there, she works closely with them to identify the right solutions to help protect both them and their loved ones. She believes every family deserves access to affordable, quality coverage and takes pride in helping clients make informed decisions with confidence.

For Elon, one of the most rewarding aspects of her career is being part of a company that continues to evolve with the times while remaining committed to the well-being of the community. She values working alongside a team dedicated to providing affordable, high-quality insurance products that truly make a difference in people’s lives.

One memorable experience involved a member who casually mentioned he had been diagnosed with cancer but did not want to review his benefits because he felt overwhelmed and stressed. Elon gently encouraged him to take a few moments to go over his coverage together. During the review, they discovered that he had purchased a $50,000 Critical Illness policy years earlier and had completely forgotten about it. Elon was able to guide him through the claims process, and within a few weeks, he received the payout that helped support him during an incredibly difficult time. Later, he returned to the branch personally to thank her—a powerful reminder of why Elon remains so passionate about helping others every day.

We proactively reach out to our membership through outbound calling, email campaigns, and community outreach rather than waiting for members to come to us.
Industry data shows only 30% of loan origination comes from proactive channels. Where does your credit union stand? Insurance is 95% proactive: how proactive are you?

We have a systematic outbound engagement program that builds trust before the call, uses member data to personalize each conversation, and produces measurable results.

We measure the critical metrics of our engagement program - loan conversions, cross-sell results, retention rates - and use that data to make real decisions.
Can you show the results of your engagement program right now in a report, not an estimate? A program without data is a program running on belief.
